Do you feel concerned about the new deputy head at BPS and their living arrangements?
Feeling concerned for your children in this situation is not wrong, and it shouldn't be minimised.
If you feel worried, you're not alone.
Why parents are worried
- Little or no information.Fife Council and the school have shared very little with parents, and in many cases nothing at all.
- Concerns are being played down.Parents feel their worries are being minimised, such as what information about their children may be reaching that household.
- Families are being dealt with one by one.Fife Council is dealing with each family separately, one conversation at a time.
- Not knowing creates anxiety.Without clear answers, parents are left piecing things together.
- It feels like it can't be spoken about.Asking about your child's safety should never feel off-limits.
What we're doing
- Bringing parents together.Families who have been dealt with one at a time, now talking to each other and comparing what they've been told.
- Asking for answers.Clear, honest information from Fife Council and the school, for every family, not just the ones who keep pushing.
- Keeping a record.Writing down what we ask and what we're told, so nothing gets quietly lost.
